GLOBAL TOUCH CHARITY ORGANIZATION EXPANDS HUMANITARIAN OUTREACH TO SCHOOLS IN THE FCT.
Global Touch Charity Organization is rapidly expanding her humanitarian services, extending key initiatives to institutions of learning across Nigeria.
In line with this vision, we recently visited two secondary schools in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, to engage vacating female students on Bodily and Oral Hygiene.
RECEPTION AND ENGAGEMENT:
In both schools, the school management received us warmly. The female students conducted themselves in an orderly manner and listened attentively as we addressed them.
Our message centered on preparing for life after college.
Now that you are graduating, you are stepping into the next phase of your lives. As you leave college, two things will follow you everywhere: your body and your smile.
We emphasized that as young women, your body is your pride. Therefore, Bodily Hygiene and Oral Hygiene are essential.
A fresh mouth equals fresh confidence — in interviews, in meetings, and in relationships.
Remember: Cleanliness is Confidence.
OUTREACH SUPPORT
As part of this initiative, we distributed Sanitary pads, Toothpastes, and Toothbrushes to each student. This was followed by an interactive hygiene talk covering:
A) Bodily Hygiene:
1) Your body is your lifelong home. Keep it clean, healthy, and dignified.
2) Bathe twice daily to remove sweat and bacteria, and to prevent body odour and skin infections.
3) Wear clean clothes daily especially underwear and bras. Cotton is recommended for skin breath.
4) Menstrual hygiene: Change sanitary pads every 4–6 hours and dispose of them properly to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
5. Hands and feet: Wash hands before eating and after using the restroom. Keep nails trimmed. Wash and dry feet properly to prevent fungal infections.
6) Hydration: Drink 6–8 glasses of water daily. A clean body starts from the inside.
B) Oral Hygiene :
7) Brush twice daily, morning and before bed, for at least 2 minutes.
8) Clean your tongue, as most bad breath originates from the tongue.
9) Floss and rinse, at least once daily to remove food particles between teeth.
10) Visit a dentist, at least once a year for a check-up.
In Closing, we reminded the students that hygiene is not just about appearance. It is about self-esteem, health, and how you represent yourself to the world.
As you vacate, go with the discipline you have learned from Global Touch. Take care of your body, guard your health, and let your smile open doors for you.
You are going out to become leaders, professionals, wives, and mothers. Start now by treating your body as the valuable asset that it is.
Stay Clean! Stay Healthy! Stay Confident!
Congratulations on your journey so far. Go and shine.
